Topic Nomination Process

The primary goal of CMTP is to improve the process for generating reliable and credible information about the real world risks, benefits, and costs of promising new medical technologies.  Because the pace of innovation in medicine is so rapid, we aim to focus our efforts on addressing the most pressing evidence gaps for the most promising technologies.  CMTP is interested in receiving suggestions for all of our projects including effectiveness guidance documents, and other policy-related projects.  We are particularly interested in emerging medical technologies that warrant further study. We will consider technologies that have not yet diffused widely, but are FDA-approved, and show potential to substantially improve net health outcomes.

Please follow the link to our Topic Nomination petition and complete the form as thoroughly as possible. Following your topic submission, a representative from CMTP will contact you for further specifics on your proposal. Note that every question may not be relevant to your proposed medical technology. Please contact us with any questions.

Once received, your nomination will be considered against our formal criteria.  Please review our Priority-setting Manual to review this process.
