CMTP is strongly committed to the creation of public-private partnerships to accelerate the conduct of comparative effectiveness research, leverage the expertise and assets of multiple participants to improve the efficiency of CER, and provide reliable evidence to patients and clinicians to promote optimal medical decision-making. Public private partnerships bring diverse groups of multiple stakeholders together to improve the quality of decision-making by lessening the potential for gaps in information. This partnership model is applied by CMTP to promote observational research through patient registries, support practice based research networks, and improve the post-market surveillance of approved medical treatments. A core competency at CMTP is bringing patients and consumers to serve as highly effective members of multi-stakeholder groups tackling complex issues such as radiation therapy, breast cancer risk stratification, artificial joint replacement, cardiovascular imaging and therapeutics, diabetes, molecular diagnostics, and wound care.
