CMTP Announces New COO and CSO

CMTP welcomes S. Stuart Spector as the new Chief Operating Officer and congratulates Steve Phurrough on his new role as Chief Scientific Officer. Spector will work closely with Sean Tunis, CEO, and CMTP senior staff to provide leadership through CMTPs continuing growth and development. Spector will oversee all of CMTP’s business development, operational, administrative, and marketing activities.

Spector most recently was the Senior Vice President for the National Council on Aging (NCOA). At NCOA, Spector led Corporate Partnerships, Public Policy, Marketing & Communications, Technology Initiatives and a variety of Programs designed to assist older adults. As part of the senior management team for NCOA, Stuart was instrumental in helping more than 3M seniors identify over $11B in public and private benefits options and was the catalyst for enrolling more than 500,000 seniors in Medicare’s Low Income Subsidy Program.

Steve Phurrough will be taking on a new role as the Chief Scientific Officer. As CSO, Phurrough will be the senior advisor and subject matter expert for CMTP projects. He will also focus on strategic planning and business development for the organization, and participate in external speaking engagements and partnerships.
