Article in New York Times on 'real world' drug trials mentions CMTP

In a recently published article in the New York Times, Dr. Sean Tunis discusses the need for 'real world,' pragmatic trials.

The New York Times article, printed on November 24th, 2008, interviews several leading opinion makers on the concepts of pragmatic, or 'real world', trials. Dr. Tunis, elaborating on thoughts about the need for such trials, and the differences between currently funded research and research that is intended to answer questions that users of information most want to know, said this:

“One starts from the head and the other starts from the tail and they don’t meet in the middle.”
